OFFICE CATERING IN HOBART

Corporate Catering in Hobart for Meetings, Training and Office Lunches

Weekday catering for Hobart workplaces
If you organise food for a Hobart workplace, you probably need three things. The order should arrive before people sit down. Everyone with a dietary need should find something labelled for them. And the invoice should be simple. Pounds + Ounces makes every corporate order fresh on the day and packs it ready to serve. We deliver to offices from the CBD out to around Glenorchy, Kingston and Lauderdale, and delivery is free across the Royal Hobart Hospital campus.

We're busiest Monday to Friday, catering ward meetings, executive committees, education sessions and project workshops, as well as offices near the city.

Catering by occasion

Working lunches and committee meetings

For a lunch that people eat while the agenda keeps moving, go for food that doesn't need cutlery. Quartered sandwiches, wraps and baguette halves work well. Add a salad bowl if the meeting runs long, and sweet bites for the 2pm slump.

Training days and in-services

Full-day sessions need three food breaks, not one. A common pattern is a breakfast box on arrival, morning tea at 10:30, lunch, then fruit or sweet bites mid-afternoon. Tell us the timetable and we'll stagger deliveries, or deliver once and label each break.

Boardroom and client meetings

When guests are coming in, choose gourmet sandwich halves, the Italian Festa package (antipasto, homestyle pasta, pizza and salad for 20) or individual boxes so each person has their own setting.

Staff thank-yous and farewells

A Rise & Shine package (fruit, mini croissants, danish and juice for 12) or a sweet bites platter is a simple way to say thanks to a team at shift change.

Individually packed or shared? How to choose

Individual boxes suit meetings with strict dietary lists, external guests, or people eating at their desks. Each box can be labelled with a name or a dietary requirement.

Shared platters cost less per head, look generous on a table and suit informal team lunches.

Mixing both works well: shared platters for the group, plus individual boxes for guests with allergies.

How much to order

As a starting guide, our Light Lunch package (a large party pastries platter, 10 sandwiches and 10 wraps) feeds 20. Italian Festa also serves 20, and Rise & Shine serves 12. For a hungry crowd or a long day, add a salad or hot platter. Not sure? Tell us your headcount and the length of the meeting, and we'll suggest quantities. Group packages start at $158.50 for Rise & Shine; Light Lunch is $350 and Italian Festa is $374 (GST included).

Regular orders for busy coordinators

Many Hobart teams order the same lunch for a fortnightly meeting. Ordering online saves your details, so a repeat order takes minutes. We also run standing weekly orders: agree a set menu, day and delivery time once, and it arrives every week without a new booking. Email hello@poundsounces.com.au to set one up.

To pay by purchase order, cost-centre code or monthly account, contact us and we'll add your organisation to our system before your first order.
